Networlding Licenses Out Around the World

My goal this year was to find ten licenees  who were interested in licensing our program that is now in its ninth year. Recently I was asked to share more information out about that program and how it is different from other programs. I realize that so much of these past nine years has laid resident inside my head, not getting out to the public to help illuminate the nuances of this strong system we created to help individuals and business leaders grow sustainable networks. The best way to start, then, is an example.

So, for example, we have a licensee in Indianapolis who is starting a values-based Networlding initiative in July with up to 250
people. We will break them up into 25 groups of 10 and then have them go through the seven steps of Networlding focusing on individual goals of each participant and then perhaps a circle group goal. Once the circle goes through the process, in each circle pairs of five will then move on to start another five Networlding groups with ten people in each group which grows the overall number of participants exponentially which looks like waves as follows:

First Wave – 25 groups of 10 for 250 people
Second Wave – 5 pairs in each group of 25 = 5 x 25 = 125 pairs or now,
125 groups x 10 = 1250 people involved

Now imagine what that could look like anywhere in the world. Because we now have online tools that can keep the First Wave leading communications for the following waves, sharing success stories, topstrategies, tactics and support for the following waves, learning, adoption of learning a rapid implementation becomes real.

It’s peer-to-peer mentoring and learning at its best. Each person addresses his or her unique personal goal to be achieved in the next 60 days and also adopts a circle goal that benefits the community. Imagine the successboth on a personal and a community level!

The trick is conveying this visual so simply along with the training and success stories that the first and second wave has bought in so powerfully that when the third wave is ready to be deployed there is a dramatic improvement in a community or communities economically which is really what everyone is looking to achieve.

Underneath all of the economic life, of course, which is what matters to me the most, is the satisfaction and true joy people will feel that they accomplished their goals and also were part of something much bigger than themselves. The great thing about Networlding is that we can embed other programs right into our process like leadership training, teambuilding or marketing, etc.

Imagine that “Can-Do” attitude emanating from leaders who don’t separate their own dreams from the dreams of their children, their friends, their communities? One of the books I authored was a book called “Fifty Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family.” The book was on the “Today Show,” “Oprah” and hundreds of stations around the country. I was author of the second edition. The first edition had sold 200,000 copies. The publisher requested I keep 40 of the cities from the first
book and change out 10.

I spent a year researching the 50 cities for updates three years after the first book was out. Since my first book was about starting a business in Chicago  I decided I would spend a lot of time talking with Chambers of Commerce all over the country. What happened was that I found these cities were amazing. I called the best of them “Can Do” cities. Why? Because anything I asked them, such as the folks at the chamber in Raleigh, North Carolina, was answered by, “Yes Mam, we can send
information on our chambers over to you by Federal ExpressI Yes Mam, we can call you today with the answer to your question about the latest average number of home sales this last month!”

The insights I gained were only surpassed by the relationships I built. To this day, five years or so later, I know I can still go to
those cities to help roll out initiatives with the beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that are an intrinsic part of the phrase, “Yes we can!” that is part of our new administration.
